“All
Children Are Capable Of Learning”
The environment
that surrounds a child in
their learning years, that
usually are between
the ages of 2-7, has a
lot to
do in a child’s
way of learning. The
idea that “all children
are capable of learning,” as imposed in
a school sign
in one of
New York’s undervalued
school, suggest a motivation
or reminder to
teachers that work
there as why
they are working
there. To not loose
hope. Adults can indeed
encourage or spark
that flame of
experimental learning by
reading and properly
feeding a child. In
very poor neighborhoods
this is hard
since the monetary
resources are scarce. Schools lack of
resources and motivational
teachers on some
schools. The child can
have a strong
desire to learn, but
without materials and
the right instruction, this is
limited to learning
below his or
her capacity. If every
child was given
the chance of
a better education
and if perseverance
from the teaching
adult is there, I truly do
not see why
a child cannot
learn. Genetics also has
to do with
learning, but just on how fast
a child learns and
is able to
retain information, not exactly
on capacity of
learning.
